What Is Alarm Response?
Alarm response means a uniformed guard goes to your site when your alarm goes off, instead of you or your staff going out to check it. The guard checks around the building and inside, stays until the site is secure, and tells you what was found.
Eagle Eye Security LTD sends guards to alarms at warehouses, commercial complexes, offices, malls, strata complexes and construction sites across Surrey and the Lower Mainland. Most alarms sound at night, on weekends or on holidays, when the building sits empty and nobody should have to drive out alone to find out why.
For alarm calls, our average response time is 30 to 45 minutes. Exact timing depends on where your site is, the time of day, and which guards are on shift nearby. Our dispatch runs 24 hours a day, and when the call comes in, we will give you a time we can actually meet.

Great job at protecting and guards actually care about their job unlike other companies e.g Paladin Security who just hang out with their other co-workers and have fun. Eagle Eye’s guards are professionals who excel in keeping everybody safe and sound. If I could give 6 stars, I definitely would.Posted on Google![]()

Eagle Eye installed my video monitoring system. They took the time research my property to come up with the best system based on my budget. Varun and Rangot from Eagle Eye were very courteous and professional. They took time to explain how the system works in very easy terms. It was a pleasure to have them in my home.Posted on Google![]()

What Happens When Your Alarm Goes Off
Every attendance follows the duties agreed with you when cover starts. On a standard alarm call, the guard covers the following.
The call comes in
Your alarm company or monitoring centre calls our dispatch, or you call us direct at (778) 899-1576. Dispatch takes the details of the alarm and sends a guard to your site.
Checks outside and inside
The guard checks around the building first: doors, windows, gates and loading bays, looking for damage, signs of a break in and anything left open that should be shut. Then the guard checks inside the building, room by room, for anyone on the site and for what set the alarm off.
Stays until the site is secure
The guard stays at your site until it is secure. We hold your keys and access details so the guard can get in, carry out the checks and lock the site up properly, and there are no key holding charges.
You hear what was found
The guard reports what was found to our dispatch, you are told what the guard found, and a written report follows, with the time the guard arrived, what was checked and what was done.
If the guard finds a break in, damage or someone on the site who should not be there, it is reported to our dispatch straight away. You hear about it fast, the guard stays until the site is secure, and the police are called when needed.
Sites Our Alarm Guards Cover
Guard attendance suits any site with an alarm system fitted that sits empty at night, on weekends or between shifts. These are the sites our guards attend most when an alarm sounds.
Business parks and multi-tenant buildings with several companies on site. When the alarm sounds, a guard attends the property and checks the building and the units inside.
Storage and work yards with gates, loading bays and goods kept on site. When the alarm sounds, a guard attends the yard and checks the gates, fences, loading bays and the building inside.
Shopping centres with many tenants under one roof. When the alarm sounds, a guard attends the centre and checks the entrances, the common areas and the unit the alarm came from.
Buildings where staff work during the day and the property sits empty at night. When the alarm sounds, a guard attends the building and checks the doors, the grounds and inside.
Strata buildings and townhouse complexes with shared parkades, lobbies and grounds. When an alarm sounds in a shared building, a guard attends the complex and checks the building and the common areas.
Construction sites holding tools, materials and machines overnight. When the alarm sounds, a guard attends the site and checks the fencing, gates and storage areas.
A school, hall or community building that sits empty outside its hours of use. When the alarm sounds, a guard attends the building and checks the doors, grounds and inside.
A building or property with nobody in it for a period of time, with an alarm system still fitted. When the alarm sounds, a guard attends the property and checks that it is still secure.
Do not see your type of site? Ask us. Having an alarm fitted and needing someone to attend it matters more than what the site is called.
How Alarm Cover Starts
Call (778) 899-1576 and tell us where the site is, what alarm system is fitted, and who gets called when it goes off now.
We look at the site with you, talk through how the guard gets in, what gets checked and who hears about an alarm call, and send a written quote with the rate and what is included, before you agree to anything.
Before cover starts, the attendance is agreed with you in writing: the keys and access details we hold, who dispatch calls when the alarm sounds, what the guard checks, and who the guard calls if something is found.
Cover starts on the agreed date. From then on, when your alarm goes off, dispatch sends a guard to your site, and for alarm calls our average response time is 30 to 45 minutes.
Cover can run on an ongoing contract, over a holiday period, or for a short period while a building sits empty, and there is no minimum number of hours. To arrange cover for your site, call (778) 899-1576 and tell us about your site.

Alarm Response or a Guard on Site?
Alarm call outs suit sites that are locked up and quiet, with an alarm system fitted. A guard attends only when the alarm sounds, checks around the building and inside, stays until the site is secure, and tells you what was found. The site gets a licensed guard when it needs one, without a guard posted there at all hours.
A static security guard stays on your site for the full shift. That suits sites with steady movement and steady risk: an open gate, goods on site, or people coming and going around the clock. Mobile patrol sits between the two: a patrol guard visits at varied times and checks the site through the night whether or not the alarm sounds. Many clients pair alarm response with patrol visits, so the site is checked through the night and attended fast when the alarm goes off.
Not sure which fits? Tell us what has been happening at your site and we will tell you straight which level of cover makes sense.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is alarm response?
Alarm response is a security service where a uniformed guard goes to your site when your alarm goes off, instead of you or your staff going out to check it. The guard checks around the building and inside, stays until the site is secure, and tells you what was found.
How fast will a guard get to my site when the alarm goes off?
For alarm calls, our average response time is 30 to 45 minutes. Exact timing depends on where your site is, the time of day, and which guards are on shift nearby. When the call comes in, we will give you a time we can actually meet.
Who calls you when my alarm goes off?
That is agreed with you when cover starts. Your alarm company or monitoring centre can call our dispatch when the alarm sounds, or you can call us direct at (778) 899-1576. Dispatch runs 24 hours a day, so the call is answered at any hour.
What does the guard do when they get to my site?
The guard checks around the building first: doors, windows, gates and loading bays. Then the guard checks inside, stays until the site is secure, and reports what was found to our dispatch. You are told what the guard found, and a written report follows.
What happens if there has been a break in?
The guard reports it to our dispatch straight away and stays at your site until it is secure. You hear about it fast, the police are called when needed, and a written report follows.
Do you hold our keys for alarm response?
Yes. We hold your keys and access details so the guard can check inside the building and lock the site up properly after an alarm call. There are no key holding charges for holding them.
How can I get a faster response when my alarm goes off?
Set up a guard service before you need it. When your alarm company calls our dispatch directly, a guard is on the way while you are still being woken up, instead of you driving out first to check. For alarm calls, our average response time is 30 to 45 minutes, and when the call comes in we give you a time we can actually meet.
Does a false alarm cost me anything in Surrey?
It can. Under the City of Surrey Security and Fire Alarm Bylaw, a false alarm that brings the police out is currently billed at $133 if paid within 14 days, or $165 after that, and a fire department false alarm is billed at $286. A guard who checks the site first can tell you whether there are real signs of a break in before anyone else is called.
How do I cut down false alarms without slowing the response?
Every call gets the same response, so speed never drops. What changes is what you learn: the guard checks around the building and inside, finds what set the alarm off, and tells you, so a faulty sensor, an open door or a loose fitting can be fixed before it sets the alarm off again.
